Hello people,

I'm very excited to join this forum as I'm looking into considering to buy an EVO not sure on what one as of yet I have the 9,8 and 5 in mind, but I'm very new to the Evo world and signed up to gain some knowledge and mainly find out what how far they can be pushed, power wise and what sort of builds people have done with them.

so yeah thats my lil intro haha

Faisal

P.S. oh and i own a Honda CRX which is my current project, also a Ford Galaxy 1.8TDCi

haha yh I've seen that vid 100 times over its an animal, there is no budget with cars like these, the only time you stop spending is when you think you've done enough to the car but there isnt an limit to whats enough haha

I want to gain around 400+bhp but with the comfort of a possible daily

Yeah I've been doing alot of looking around and seen a really nice import evo 5 GSR GF-CP9A, it may just work out a ton cheaper importing I've found tons of cheap ones inc shipping, FOB, De-reg, ETC.

hmmm.,.. will just have to wait and see where temptation leads me. So many to choose from. I like the 4, 5, 7 but the 4 has to be my favourite soo hard to come by, I'll find one soon hopefully not giving up just yet

In terms of getting them to 400 BHP by far the easiest of what you've mentioned so far is the 9. If you're looking to get a 4 or 5 up to a reliable 400 BHP you're looking at a lot more work, whereas the 9 will get there with pretty much just a remap.

Totally agree but the evo 9 comes with a price tag haha at that sort of price I'd persinally buy an R33 and still have good ammount of money left to throw at it for upgrades and get it way past 500+ mark
But going back to a 4 its around the same price range as R33 and purchase and evo 9 lump if anything and it still works out cheaper than buying a complete evo 9, the ones i've been seeing are price at £11,000+ why is that

evo 4 is around £4,500+
evo 9 lump around £2000 plus money left over for any possible road blocks

I get what you're saying, but a car is more than the engine :)

Welcome! There is a nice 4 on the MLR for sale at the moment. It has an evo 6 engine in it though.

Thanks but every time I try to sign up with MLR it says I'm a spammer LOL, first time this has happened to me so I emailed them and no reply.
