Quite right.

No one is saying that we should all post will nilly, as is now becoming the "norm" on several Forums that I have visited in the past.

All I am saying is that if someone posts a thread, regardless of the topic, simply logging in on a daily a basis and perusing all new threads and then logging back out is not productive any which way you look at it.

Fair enough, Tech Threads are a little different. I would much rather prefer that only the pro's reply on those particular threads but as for almost everything else, within reason, we should all have a go.

Motor Enthusiast Boards/Forums were set up for like minded individuals who have the same taste in cars to be able to come together and bash heads. The primary goal was to eliminate the Dealers from the equation by way of personal experiences / expertise and mutual back scratching.

If you only ever log on and ask, ask, ask, sooner or later, there will be no more tell, tell, tell, as no basic banter ultimately equates to no more interest IMO.

We have a long established Thread for anyone who wants to just chat porkies all day long. It was set up for that explicit purpose and the title is most befitting. It's probably the longest running thread in Forum history. Please feel free to take a look, albeit at your own peril :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: :

I've a members gallery on here with my evo iv, an i've stopped updating it as its only myself basically posting in it,
i find it pointless posting somewere were no one is interested in the car

im not a well known member on the MLR either and i feel you need to be in like a click of members over there to be noticed, but the car even got more likes+comments than here, here is more relaxed an everyone replies to everyone, well it was the case

so thats my reason, i kept updating my own thread an i done new things with my evo that no one had done an must have fell on deaf ears lol

my reason anyway

I totally understand your view point.

The thing with over the road is that it's all much faster over there with shed loads of guys so someone will pop a comment or two every so often.

Over here, you get a majority of visitors / members that like to peruse or pop a question once in a blue moon but are uncomfortable when they have to come out of the bubble.

Whatever their reason(s) may be, they need to broaden their horizons IMO.

You should keep updating the Gallery and if someone asks a question or posts a thread that you think you can provide a valid response to, by all means, be my guest. Post count does not matter at all.

My post count is around 5k, the majority of which is in response to purely tech related threads. Some members have been here for far less time and their post count is around 10k, they are well into the banter. Over the road, there are members that have a post count of almost 20k. Bottom line, it takes all sorts to make the world go round buddy and none of us are any the worst for it.

Before I'm done, I have one request to make to you:

Can you bump your Gallery thread please?

I'm totally up for that, subject to terms and conditions.

94 replies and over 2700 views......

I think your threads done well thus far buddy. Keep it going, there's light at the end of the tunnel.

If I had taken pics and offered you all write ups of what we've gotten up to over the years it would have been awesome. But hey, I'm lazy like that, hence getting all warm and fuzzy when I come across folks that have the determination to do it and then keep on doing it.

Good man!

Terms & conditions are you're cooking lol

Well that's a given!

We just all need to be in agreement in regards to time and place now. .....

There's no harm in asking, or pestering members for advice. It's what we're here for at the end of the day.

Rather than PM'ing for tech advice, it's much better to post up a thread as it helps future visitors out when they're desperate for information.

The Google Bots pick up on fresh posts / threads instantaneously too, which, in turn, results in more attention for the Forum. That, in turn, equates to more potential members, ultimately resulting in more banter / posts.

That in itself will probably help sort out the quarms that the OP had when he decided to post this thread in the first place. :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

Mines like that too although this last week it seems to be getting better. Just got to keep it up and it will get busy again I think a certain Mr Norton needs to get some pictures up on his build threads
