On way back from train station got up a lil speed and then a horrendous noise from the back........ Pull over have a check and the vortex is gone, was double sided taped down and has been on for two years.

So after driving the same stretch of the a16 3 or 4 times I find it :) it flew off and landed in the grass on the verge with not a single mark on it :) think I'll be tiger sealing it down next

Well the front lip went because I had to repair every lug that connects it to the bumper and obviously liquid metal aren't up to the job, and everyone loses a vortex from time to time by the sounds of it lol.

Yh think I was lucky lee prob cos it's a cheap vaccine formed one as my first one was on the car a week before it got stolen so I bought cheap one to replace

I need to take my vg off shortly to rub down and re-lacquer. I was planning on using 3M double sided tape to stick it back on. Is this the tape that people are having issues with?

I stuck mine on with araldite on my old 8. The guy I sold it to said he'd probably take it off.
Good luck with that I thought :)

Lol, that ain't coming off easy! I don't think my one has ever been off and it is stuck on solid with double sided tape. Going to try dental floss and a hot air gun for removal....

Yh I used 3m tape. I will be using silicon sealer to replace, it will hold firm but not make it impossible to remove and won't wreck the paint.

Araldite haha Yh that sucker ain't going nowhere

The car has had a couple of owners on that other evo website since I sold it. I'm pretty sure it's still on there :D
