I have a friend who has a evo 5. He has removed the the head, now he wants to remove the block/gearbox ect, can this be done? As there are no lifting points on the block (or is there). I've removed engines out the bottom before but always with the head attached.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The lifting points are on the head!!
You can drop it out the bottom. It's easier anyway.
But you'll still need the lifting points to lower it down to whatever you intend to rest it on.

Yes the lifting points are on the head, and yes he is going to drop it out the bottom. He want to know how is the best way to lower it without the lifting points. Is there a easy way? Any other points to lift it a little to lower it

Trolley jack underneath and man handle it when it's out.
