I currently own a 2001 black type r, mods are de-cat and back box.
Now im looking to get a 300hp white evo 4 with a few minor mods, dump valve, intercooler ect.
Its going to be an everyday car.
Should I get the evo 4 or keep my type r?

I had a 2005 facelift type r with full system, AEM CAI, RBC and K100. Went to a 400bhp 6 and wouldn't think of using the evo everyday! Civic is much more economic and more reliable lol

The Evo will be more expensive to run day to day but then it is on a totally different level from a type R.
The Evo will be far easier and cheaper to tune so you will have plenty of options for the future where you will be limited in what you can do to the Honda without doing major and expensive work.
I had a DC2 and have driven a couple of Civics, they were good fun but I would consider it a big step backwards to go back to one from an Evo :)

I currently have a 2002 type r and an Evo 4. If you can afford the extra fuel and service costs I would have the Evo every time.

Never knew that, but then again some P1's cant be far from that either.
Would be one of the better classic shape Imprezas to have for sure if they have been looked after :)

I had an ep3 before the evo, got an 8 and never looked back, miss the type r sometimes for the fun factor but they are totally different machines
