whats my evo worth?

hi all,

i'm wondering what my evo is worth,
1999, t reg, evo 6 gsr, import in white, 93000miles, tinted rear windows and sunstrip, had recent full service including platinum sparkplugs, ayc system flush and oil change, 2 front wheel bearings, new front discs and pads, recent full valet and buff, polish and wax, fully undersealed, all tyres good and handles and go's very well, gunmetal grey alloys, no ayc issues,

the not so good bits, i dont have any history except what i've done,
was a previous cat d (light rear ns damage) in 2013, but is fully repaired and doesnt show except slight on spare tyre well,

the car is really clean dispite being a previous cat d write off, seats are in good condition and only very slight driver seat bolster wear,

i've had it for sale and not had any genuine interest so taken it off sale due to running out of tax and being winter its pointless me retaxing it as i dont use it,

it will have a full test and 6 months tax when i put it back up for sale also full valet and polish, buff and wax again,

its standard except a apexi cone filter and a cat back exhaust,

car owes me around £4500ish, including all repairs, so obviously would like something near if possible?

any ideas what its worth?

thanks for reading, any advice and ideas to get it sold or value would be very much appreciated, needing a van and lack of use is reason for sale

i would say you would be lucky to see anything over £3500 TBH! No History And CatD is a real value killer!

Like supamario said your not looking at much for your car even if you did have full history it dont matter its a cat d write off this will put a lot of people off it good luck with the sale tho

ive seen cars with cat c in better condition with non hit cars
if repaired correctly an to a high standard then that SHOULD NOT be a reason/excuse to bargain down

4-4.5k for a 6 is a nice price, were hitting summer soon, good weather could/hopefully make a sale easier

FYI - i've seen cars with a damaged rear bumper an cracked/broken tail lights a cat D, so doesnt mean it needed a rear quarter etc.... i dont get how insurance companies write cars off with such minimal damage

What a load of B....x!!! any vehicle recorded on V.car register has a value of 46% lower than any non recorded car! Any vehicle with NO HISTORY has a value of 28% lower than any vehicle with!! But hey what do i know!!!:whistling: having 5 owners since import in 2008 will also contribute to it's value! If try place's like webuyanycar or wewantanycar you will find if your very lucky they will return a figure of around £1500-£1800 for it and i find their values actually reflects better than px and trade auction prices!

my partners dad buys cat c's an d's all the time, repaires them an mot's them then sells them on, there always go for round a non recorded car

obviously N.Ireland works in different ways then
you wouldn see the local news every now and again were a dealer has been given a hefty fine for clocking cars, but they have FULL service history, but your right I seem to be talking from my arse

and again alot of cars we buy an repair come from the mainland, copart, car-transplants etc......

we get the value of the non hit cars all because they are low mile cars, all cars over here are into the 100k mark an people dont like paying the real value of cars just cause the miles

but a cat d, like i said before is minimal damage, cat c is/can be a car with panel damage but not always

thanks for all your replys and advice, i'll take it in to account,

obviously i dont expect to get what i've paid but it doesnt have any dents and is in great condition despite the cat d, it had the bootwell but stopped at the tyre, the rear quarter under the ns light and the rear bumper, it wasnt very bad its a shame it wasnt repaired by insurance, but i've had alot of fun with it so is worth it to me

i'll try some info off the previous owner (its not anyone on here is it? use to have a private plate on and from scotland)
get it retaxed and tested, buffed etc and try later on in the year,

I agree with the comments Supamario666 has previously said and I doubt you'd get anywhere near £4500 for it. This is something Id consider paying £3000 if it was mechanicly sound.

You have the perfect car to track already.
Its running well and you've done a few things now to make it even better, why would you start again and risk problems.
Remember your 4 ?

Aye I know the 6RS is great but I'm scared I wreck it haha. Plus Im skint after buying the Cupra :hm: Im in 2 minds whether to sell the 6 or no, my mate Kev wants a proper look at it when I get back home :whistling:

it might be worth more in bits but, i dont have the space or time to do it, and i would rather someone else enjoy it,

it looks like its not worth selling at this moment in time, so i'll get some more power out of it and enjoy it over spring and summer instead and re think if i could sell my passat instead and get a cheaper van,

Going by some of the prices spoken about here if you are happy with the car and are in a position to keep it then thats your best option.
As long as you have it then what its worth to sell is irrelevant, best just use it and get your moneys worth, whatever that may be

thanks again, i agree aswell so going for stage one upgrades, wanting a van for the dog but i'll just hoover the cars more haha

My mate has just sold a evo 6 with 70k 3 owners and full service history in silver in very good condition, with stage one and hes given it away at 4k taxed and tested, i looked round this very carefully and it was a cracker for the money so id go with marios predictions,
Theres always deals to be had for a straight one so a damaged repair one has to be bought for a keeper/project because of value
