stripping the interior only took a couple hours as did the gearbox

That all lol! I spent a year an a half re-shelling my old colt cyborg, although a year off that i'd lost all interest in it and it stayed in the garage

yea ive lacked interest but things are moving again now so keep positive.

Well still no progress on the shell but these arrived today

New car so new track wheels
Work emotion cr 18x9.5 with 265/35/18 Dunlop DZ02g tyres.
Arches have been rolled but still fag paper tight. Touch more negative camber then should be fine

Bit of an update on the car.

Had the head off the engine which as some of you will know is the forged motor out my old mak.

It was suffering with coolant issue before removal of old car and this is what was found.

The cause of this is unclear at the moment. More investigation required.





So was only on thing for it.

The engine was built in 2006, done around 45k and with current issue decided the block should be decked an so full strip down required.

Lots of new parts required to rebuild it after so may as well build a new bottom end.





Here's my shopping list. Parts have arrived so awaiting a slot at my busy engine builders workshop for it to be built

Also spent a bit of time cleaning and painting a few bits ready to be refitted. Budget won't allow for zircotec coating so just flicked a light coat of vht black on my manifold etc

Well after being messed about by local bodyshop that I wish if they didn't wanna paint the car then I wish they had said. Now time is running out for getting the car complete on time which I'm gutted about cos car should and could of moved ages ago.

But anyway car is now in the bodyshop and after listening to many people's recommendations it's now in there very capable hands. And I'm confident I've made the right choice

As everything is gonna be clean and shiny I thought I'd clean up a few more bits that live in the bay
