No idea what happened to it, his wife was driving then it just died twice but she managed to start it, then it died again so she called my bro and next thing there's smoke coming out of it and it just went up in flames.

It's a complete right off, he can break some bits but he won't get much for it to be honest. He's only had it nearly two years. It's his second 200 and last as he says lol.

That car was a beaut, he kept it in top condition, regularly cleaned it, and maintained to a high standard but then this happens, he's gutted but more relived his wife wasn't hurt.

I keep telling him to get an evo, maybe now he will :)

if a fire took hold i surely wouldnt be fannying around looking for bonnet catch trying to open the bonnet to put it out.. Once it takes hold there aint much an extinguisher would do to be fair..

So think of this = by the time you get the thing in your hand (extinguisher) faff about for bonnet release get out try open the bonnet while flames/smoke shoot out and then find the bonnet stay try to pop it into little hole point and squirt (extinguisher) at the fire You''d be getn well toasted yourself never mind the car lol

If still give it a go and having one to hand is better than not.
