sorry to ''hijack your post op but I'm going to upgrade my stock filter and wanted to go k&n or this hks.. any advice between the 2? or both pretty much the same? (e5 btw)

Panel filter or aftermarket? Personally k&n hands down for both filters. Hks filter is poor, and will let to much dirt though. The newer mushrooms are said to be better but still. Plus they are over priced :razz:

I second that k&n motion. I stronger prefer them to the hks. Plus most of the k&n filters can be cleaned and oiled for reusing.

Does anyone have the part number for the K&N filter for an Evo V? When I look it up on their website I get no results.

Also just to clarify, the stock air box is two pieces, and the filter itself makes up the middle section, right?

I just looked up that part # for K&N and that doesn't look like it would work with my RHD Evo V mine has a mushroom filter not an air box not saying it won't work just that it won't with mine
