initial D is a great film! yes you have to keep up with subtitles but it adds to the specialness of the movie to hear them speaking Japanese!
also you must only watch it with the uk audio sountrack, its TEN times better than the japan sound track!
although it focuses on the now legendary ae86 trueno, the professional racer baddies do have 2 nice evo's!
my fave is the four, prob cos I own one! I love the monster sticker on the bonnet and it says "emperor" on the sides of the rear wing (the name of the racing team)
in the movie somehow the Toyota does a lot of drifting then overtakes the evo! the guy looks shocked then puts the car into a wall and barrier in a cgi tastic way!
movies eh?!

one of the funniest terrible car movies ive ever seen is a late eighties/early nineties one called deuce coupe, about some American young gun that tunes up his red happy days looking deuce coupe,
the funniest bit is when he finishes fitting all the go faster parts to the big block v8 and he does a top speed run, the speedo reaches 120 mph then the speedo glass cracks under the "sheer pressure" of 120 mph !!!!!!!
and that really is its top speed in the movie and its supposed to be impressive! HA!

Its a good film, I liked it alot, there is another which is based Off the game in arcades from midnight maximum tune, I have not seen it but my friend linked me to it and I lost the link so I will get it from him and post it here, plus I will watch it as I keep forgetting
