Just thought I would introduce myself.

Nick, 23 from lovely old Lincolnshire,

I'm a french car lover who over the past 3 years has slowly moved over the Japside!

Had a few Jap cars now, a UKDM dc2, JDM 96 spec dc2, ep3 Civic (poo!) and finally a JDM S2000

I sold that in December, bought a cheap 106 rallye to runaround in however I am now on the lookout for something nice.
Ideally an evo 5! Considered other options such as m3's/r33 skyline, The evo 5's seem to be available for very reasonable money these days hence why i'm swaying towards buying one.
I'd like a Scotia white one so i'll be keeping my eyes peeled! Have seen a nice 5 RS for sale down at SVA imports but not sure if I can justify the extra cash for what is essentially, less car.

Will stick around and hopefully i'll have a car before the close of the year!

Nick.

I'm from Blyton but live in Gainsborough now (sad face!) Not too far from Boston.

Lucky to live out here really with such fantastic roads in the wolds, Cadwell park and more recently the re furb'ed track up at Blyton on our doorstep!

I've done a few searches on here + over on the lancer register regarding the Evo 5/6 RS front brake setup and I can't find out much information on them.

I presume coming on 15" steel wheels they do not come with the 4pot Brembo's, what calipers do they run? And are they in desperate need of an upgrade?

Thanks.

You'll struggle to find one with the steel wheels still on buddy

Just buy the bestexample you can afford, RS or GSR you can add/remove stuff later.

Put links up and wanted threads with your budget on here an MLR as some people will be in the mood to sell but CBA'd making forsale threads.

Yeah I've had enough of steel wheels on the old rallye's! Just wondered about the brakes, obviously the brembo's dont fit behind the steels so they must come with small single/twin pot calipers as standard?

I've seen that you can buy the Brembo set up from the gsr model for reasonable money but it's all just extra £££ :awesome:

I'm going away with work tomorrow but going to do some serious searching whilst I am away, Need to be in an Evo before the end of next month!
