Welcome along bud, you need to sort your avatar out though:disgusted:

haha don't worry itl have something nicer soon (well for your eyes, I think its beautiful already ;))

So the good news is I've found an Evo, deposit is down and picking it up on Thursday, provided no issues with M-O-T/AA inspection on wednesday (pics to follow at the weekend hopefully fingers crossed)

I had an update from the seller today says that when he took it garage they found a petrol leak but believes is just an issue with either the fuel pump or the line either way will be sorted prior to pick up and I'm going to mention it to the AA bloke as an area of interest.

I've subsequently noticed a few things that were on the car, namely a HKS Drager Exhaust (decat) HKS Green Mushroom filter and induction and HKS hardpipe kit. My next question to you guys is,
A. does this sound like im on the right lines in terms of my choice and
B. if I were to add a BOV, not sure about it just yet, but does anyone know which would work well with the above? Prefer the psshhh/sneezy sound to the one on this video ([ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhg8cYE5k4E]TiAL Blow Off Valve BOV EVO 9 - YouTube[/ame]) - sounds shit in my opinion

My tial sounds nothing like that, that sounds like the spring is to weak and it's fluttering. I love my Tial valve and previously had a blitz one which wasn't as good sounding as the one I have now.

ok so now the news is they have had to order a new pipe where the leak is, means that MOT/Tax wont be done now till Thursday so I have two options. I either pick the car up after its been taxed on Thursday and have it AA checked at home, or I delay picking the car up until the weekend in order to hopefully get the inspection sorted for thurs/Friday. Really not sure what to do I mean I have faith in the guy doing the work as he genuinely seems to care but at the same time I don't want to take any risks if I can help it?

That sounds like mine  all it is, is lower boost the spring doesn't get compressed and the sound is air passing back through the filter not stalling the turbo, when you get on full boost mine just dumps because its opening the valve, I have an adjuster on the dv that you screw in to make the spring tougher or out for softer

AA inspection first

yeh that's my gut feeling however one thing I noticed when I was at the dealers place he doesn't have a pitt or any lifting gear so will they be able to do a proper inspection to a decent standard only using one of their jacks or will I miss out on some key things, especially if I want them to check the fuel line where its been replaced

ok so a little update, the AA inspection for some reason could not take place as the garage for some 'unforeseeable circumstances' had to close for a few days. As I don't want to wait any longer Im off to pick up my new Evo 8 FQ300 and will be back shortly pics to follow !
Plan is to sort the aa inspection out at my end and as im getting warranty with the car (everything apart from wear/tear) if theres anything major that needs fixing as advised by the AA, itl get done here and the bill sent to the dealer!

Yeah, I know exactly what you guys mean however I went ahead and brought it home. Tired of waiting for one but to be honest, my insurance runs out on my old car tonight so I was pretty much out of options, the inspection etc was supposed to have been done ages ago.
As it turns out iv managed to get back in contact with the guy who owned it before the dealer I bought it off and hes given me a pretty honest account of the car. Only pics I have of it at the moment can be found on here. Alloys are Silver now though and not dirty :p
