So its come to that time where my evo might have to go.
I got screwed over at work so I'm out of work and looking at a major pay cut to get back in.

anyone know what a good ballpark figure for a 2004 evo 8 260 is?

I've been offered £5k part exchange, should i shake their hands off of tell the to get intimate with themselves

I've seen everything on auto trader from 4-10k

AS far as i can tell spec wise its pretty basic, its got a stereo, air con, 4 wheels (well, 5 if you include the stearing wheel) and some doors

Lol..... tbh it does look like it is condition... BUT if you was serious then id do a bit of a better for sale thread, better option, and if its unmolested then that's a bonus too.

Whats the...
Mileage??
Tax??
MOT??
Owners??

Mileage - 35k
Tax - 9 months
MOT? - brand new not even any advisories
Owners - 4

And sadly, it has been slightly molested, 'shroom air filter and a stainless steel exhaust

AS i said I'm not 100% sure I want to sell yet, it kinda depends what its worth etc. if 5k is a good figure then I'll just trade it in, if its worth 7 or something I'd risk trying to sell privatly

unless its cat D or something similar, then 5k is far too low, id say 7k-7.5k :D

Consider some people are selling their 6's for over 7k, then id be weary on some figures.

Hmm, think I'll try a private sale then. I'm in no rush.

do i have to pay to advertise on this forum?

Nope you dont have to pay anything on here mate, get it up for sale if your wanting rid, but to make it flow better, take a good handful of mixed pics and put up every detail you know about the car. and it should go from within your hands. good look mate. :)

yeah i will do.

I have a few more avenues to exhaust in that'll allow me to keep it, but if the wrong job comes in, or none at all, its byebye baby.

Definalty

I've had a few quotes to sort the paint out. a temporary but high maintenance solution will be only £150.

I think i need to look into what i can do short of a full respray to get her back up to spec.

What needs painting mate? Put some money away incase something happens again work wise then you dont have to think about selling her.

I have got money put away. work wise, the biggest issue is some of the jobs I was looking at had a 30-40 mile motorway commute

I'm not in the position to run another car on top of this one, so in order to do a commute it would of gone. Luckily I'll now be able to commute on my bike or with my missus.

The paint itself has faded on nearly every panel

What colour is it? Get over to detailing world and scout through some of the info on there and itl save you a few quid as you can diy detail it. Its not hard to do. Just time consuming.

I paid 8k for a one out of Evans Halshaw 2 years ago, it had 2 previous owners and no mods except the big spoiler and different alloys. It had 32k miles on. Never had any problems with it and been offered 7k for it not long ago.
