Well today has been quite a mad one, firstly i removed my full interior ready for my new one to go in and plus Evo8bikerAl of MLR came on got my GSR interior, Nice guy to speak too :)

After he had left i removed my rad as i sprayed the front side of it whilst it was on the car a while back and missed a few places, so i re-sprayed that back up, :D and whilst that was out i removed the A/C pump and fitted an RS belt, but the tensioner pulley wouldn't budge so i think the spring may be seized, iv removed the full thing and sprayed loads of GT85 to make it easier to move, i shall have another go at that tomorrow.

I then ATTEMPTED to remove my knackered hotside ready to send off to Martin@evobrakers, and its a bi*ch to get them bolts out, so im going to get a mate to get his blowtorch to heat up the bolts and make it better to remove them.

Whilst everything removed i was able to get a better look at my turbo and found out that its still got the GSR turbo fitted as it has 9,8T on the side. which them made me look at the hotside to see if its also a 9.8, and was told a pack of lies when i bought the car. but by the side of the hotside i think im right in thinking that its a 10.5. iv taken pics for someone to tell me if im right.

I was able to get the tensioner pulley freed up as it was seized, just took it to my mate garage and had him take it apart, cleaned, greased up and fitted back on to the car :)

When i got home i had a go at removing the elbow and hotside,........ why oh why didn't i use heat in the first place to get the manifold off. its so much easier with a blow torch. and some help from mates. :D it was doddle to remove once the bolts were heated up. so that's now off ready to send to Martin@evosalvage and then whilst that was off i removed the A/C pump adapter. :)

Well today i set out to remove my cat back as its sold, ready for a Nur Spec, and ended up taking off the front bumper, going to get some paint mixed up and then asking 2 mates for a hand to help me prep and paint my front bumper.

We sanded, 80 grit wet and dried, primered, sanded, body filled the discrepancies, sanded, 80 grit wet and dried, primered and (with a gun) finally sprayed 3 coats of paint.

It took most of the day to do but was well worth it, as having my sisters boyfriend work in Halfords is quite handy because for thinners, primer and paint only cost me £22.50 :D Thank you Russel.

Iv left it in the garage for the night as tomorrow im off back to flat and polish, and fit the mesh,

Went back today and polished it up, was hoping to fit mesh but the mesh i have is too small so will need to buy some proper fitting mesh.

Oh and when i fitted it it would be apparent that its a slightly different colour.:( Obv the feller that mixed the paint is a tard as i gave him the correct paint code.
So for now ill leave it as it is and focus on other parts. then get it done properly by a bodyshop,,, but imo not a bad effort for my first go. :)

Well got these in the post today, only small things, but its sometimes the little things that make a big difference.

So all i need now is the front seats, which will be delivered end of June, Door Cards, and a Nur Spec R, then she will be properly done. no more messing around. :D
