just a quick one on the evo4 do you need to blank off the recirculating valve to benefit the ssqv..ie stalling issues/low revs at stoping at junctions as i did this on my r33 skyline and the problems stopped....:)just a thought as both dont need to work surely..?

Your running a HKS ssqv and a recirc valve??

Or do you have a pipe running from the vent part of the ssqv back into the intake?

Pics would help explain :D

Directly behind the black pipe..with the ssqv in front..i think unless iam wrong but it looks like one and is has air lines attached...but i could be having a dumb moment...sue its a recirculating valve tho mate.

Im Thinking dumb moment lol

Looks to me like your confusing the EGR ( or what I think is to do with the EGR) as the recirc valve.

Are you talking about the part with the big black pipe going from the inlet into it?

Pinched the pic lol

In blue is the EGR valve, not the recirc

Not the greatest pic but the recirc valve is black plastic and located just left of the battery

Mine had a big silver bung where the recirc would plug into just left of the battery :D

You can see my EGR and SSQV positions too like yours

Like to point out that an evo doesn't have a egr ;) that is a secondary air system ie sas. Air goes from the ic to the turbo not the other way around ;)

Hks Ssqv can cause stalling, just not maf friendly. Get the odd issue of dipping revs with mine.
