After a very long time searching we finally found our next Evo & it arrived home the week before Christmas 2012 ....a red Evo 8 MR300
We sorned the car as we didn't want to run it during the winter months & before we knew it the car turned into a mini project :lol:
It started with us removing the rear boot lid to send it for a fresh coat of paint plus have some rust sorted out while the car was off the road. Next thing we knew one job seemed to turn into another & another :lol::lol:
So to cut a long story short before you loose the will to read anymore I'll just post the pics & let them tell the story so far....just to add we are planning on getting the car back on the road for 11th May, Japfest...we hope

A shiny new Miltek Exhaust arrived
The rear spoiler took up residence in our living room :lol:
Mesh Removed for spraying
Rear boot gone
New gear knob, defi gauges going in, hazard switch needs to be put back in the middle of the dash where the boost controller was installed by the previous owner, the boost controller needs relocating
Swapping over the metal work from the E8 bumper to the new E9 bumper
Boot stripped out/cleaned, fog light wired in
The rear of the car needed a small bit of TLC too before the new bumper went back on
Boot lid back & refitted
Miltek Exhaust fitted
Taking shape
Carpets cleaned
Washed, clayed, polished, no wax yet at this stage
50/50 shot...you can see the door not yet polished
As it stands tonight. No spoiler refitted yet, gauges not yet fitted, the car needs waxing....hopefully it will be back on the road next week ready for a remap:smthumbup...then we have a few more bits to fit hopefully before we get to Japfest ...I'll update this thread as more changes appear...
