Errrrrr did you use the the 2lb/4lb or 14lb lump hammer Craig:whistling:

When it cracked I got fooked off so I used the air chisel :whistling: some the job just broke it lol, got another pump part of the ayc lined up when funds are healthier and ill rebuild it. It's quite straight forward to be honest and people charge a shed load to refurb these, I may have to start a lil service

Yh just unbolt the clips and they just came right out. That's ad luck if they fell apart they are prob the most substantial parts.

Yh because of the location it just gets covered in the puddles and road salt ect so corrosion build up inside and causes loss of pressure and like in my case siezed motor

just watched the repair video on you tube and i cant believe how straight forward its to repair. also why the hell did they leave it outside the car?
this was the only thing that was putting me off buying an evo.

yh i know, im amazed that after 10 different models, supposedly each an improvment of the last, at no point did they think hold up, what a silly place to put it.

yh ill grt it sorted at some point im in no rush to be honest, got other stuff going on but yh its straight forward enough, its just painted to be a black art by some so everyone assumes the same. but some basic tools and patience even geof could do this repar........ im even thinkin of once mines all done doing this as a sideline at work a bit of ayc repairing.

Yeah mine did the same mate,turns out the motor on the ayc pump was goosed. Luckily fife mitsubishi had a reconditioned 1 in stock.Think it cost me around £1300 to get it fixed but that included them making a bracket up for 1 of my self leveling headlight sensors & the diagnostic for the ayc pump + vat & labour. Could have been worse though as a new 1 would have set me back £3300, can't remember if that was with or without vat :disgusted:

How much???? Oh my days, my motor had siezed due to the bearing, I reconditioned mine myself last week, took me 20 mins to make sure all was workin proper and free and it's spot on now.

I'm deffo going ino this repair business

Price to get one reckoned by indigo is about £300 I think, one of my mates was going to the pump sorted on his tommi.

Yh I need to look around at prices and what you get for your money, ie is it just repaired or cleaned up like new too for the monies. I have sorted and sourced all the parts for the repair kit today through our suppliers we already use
