Just bought this V

As a few of you may know I was considering a stroker build in my VIII,

Now this V just come up from a friend, here is the spec.....

Evo 6 block
Stroker 2.3 engine machined with torque plate etc
JE Pistons
Manley Rods
Eagle Crank
Cosworth Head gasket
bearings
Head has just been ported and polished a few weeks ago all usual work...
valves springs etc...
ATP GT35 Turbo
Brand New Race tech Manifold
Triple Plate Exedy Clutch
5 Speed gearbox
Re-conditioned diff installed.
Brembo Brakes
D2 Racing Coilovers
Apexi ECU
Apexi Boost controller
2 x 044 Fuel pumps
Walbro fuel pump
Spec R tanks etc
Rota GTR alloys
Jasma Exhaust

The Stroker engine has done 6000 miles since the build , he was running it at 500bhp but was suffering with valve float when trying to put more boost through it (no head work done at this point)
Then he had the head done a couple of weeks ago so should see more power now. Also the Race tech manifold is brand new.

Any way I bought it for a good price I think...

The plans are to put the stroker lump into my 8, the 8 lump into the 5
Sell the five and spend the money on the 8 :razz:

I took one pic of the car yesterday but I dont pick it up until monday so ill put more up then....

It runs mate but I'd prefer to keep the 8 with 600bhp
So ill swap the engines I think and my mate wants to buy the V

Thanks mate, yeah it's lovely I think my mate might be having it after the engine change, it will have my fq330 lump with 30000 miles on it
It's very clean that picture doesn't do it justice

All the five's I've seen recently have been around 5k so i'd say so.

Thats what I thought....and that is a standard 5....so someone would be getting a steal.

And I get the 600 ponies I wanted....now to find an rs diff and non ayc transfer box

No I didnt pay £5K mate I paid £6K

Still a bargain but to be fair the market is terrible at the moment

So If I get £5000 for the V

the stroker has cost me £1000 into my 8

Well chuffed...ill do the engine change myself just got to think about ecu's

Ill probably leave the apexi ecu in the V and just have that re mapped with the 8 engine

Can you run a stroker on a standard ecu??

Also ill be looking for an RS rear diff and non ayc transfer box :twisted:
