Help me please!!!!

Hi guys does anyone have any idea of whats happened to my car, was driving in the snow along the motorway to my girlfriends and got there fine...coming to leave herr house to come home and got in car started it and sounds like firing on 3 cylinders horrible to drive and no power what so ever. Called the aa out and the man looked all over it checked air filter and thats dry so then he followed me home doing 40mph all the way, said take it to a specialist like xtreme, does anyone have any idea what it is? thanks people.

We could spend all day speculating mate, could be plugs, coils, water, the list will go on, best off taking it along to a specialist if you have a local one

could check if the actuator has become disconnected and is an easy fix.worth a look.

Agreed. I would also check for any loose boost pipes.

I went out in the rain in mine once and the AYC light came on. Let the car dry out and it's never come on since. Hope your as lucky as me.

Where are you located - I'm sure there are some good places you can take it without being told £££s.

But, worth some basic checks:

- Oil + water ! Worth checking regardless.
- All vacuum lines checked connected and not split.
- Check the intercooler pipework from throttle-body down (and other side to turbo) + dump valve to ensure no glaringly loose areas.
- Whip the plastic cover off and check the coil packs.
- If possible, take spark plugs out and check.
- Check front O2 sensor is tight.

Failing that you start to get into things you need to check with multi-meters etc. and worth taking it to a man in the know...
