Fully forged fast road 600 bhp engine rebuild with JE pistons and rods etc with HKS 264 cams and i had a helix organic clutch fitted while the engine was out!

Just got to run her in and then its back up to CPP to have the HKS GT11 and ID1000 injectors fitted with a big fat RE-MAP:razz:

I dont fella no!!!...the recipt actually doesnt name the rods so i will get the make off him tomorrow and let you know!

it reads:
Engine block over bored to 85.5mm
JE oversize pistons
JE ring set
Crank shaft polished
ACL main bearing kit
ACL big end bearing kit
ACL thrust bearings
E9 o/e head gasket
balance shaft removed
O/E oil pump
Valve's re-seated
ARP Head stud kit
HKS 264 cam shafts
New timing belt Kit
Racetech 4 Branch stainless mainfold

had a few other things done as well si at the same time..ie clutch,gauges,new TEIN springs etc etc

Isn't that the turbo people are having failures on plus the crappy warranty Etc with them. Don't think they are anywhere capable of the 600bhp ur engine build is made for?

Or am I wrong

There's been a few failure threads with the hks turbos over the road hence asking the flow rate maybe another choice would be better?

Yes guys your right!!...but i have been told that CPP will give me a warranty and it appears the ones which have gone bang have been mapped by the same garage!!

I only want to see 430/430 out my old girl and that will do me!..what ever CPP are happy to map the old girl at will do me...all i want is a fast road car and to be able to waste the gobby tw at in the next village to me with his RS4...bloody ugly gimp!!

To be honest si i have made my mind up to go for the HKS as i do believe it is the quickest spooling stock frame turbo...but Gaz did say why not go for the 80 series as i know there good for 420/430...just thought if i run the HKS at a safe level i can prove they are a good turbo if set up right!..does that make sense to you guysi really dont want to go down the road of another rebuild and running process again...god its like being starved to death:shock:

Just to add to the mix bubbles not telling you what turbo to get more so a discussion on different turbos, are they willing to warrant the engine as well if the turbo fails, also the turbo would have to go back to hks in Japan for warranty investigation etc etc, IMO I would tend to lean towards an 80 series, also a fast spooling turbo! ;-)

Yes bud...warranty on engine and turbo...and he said he will warrant the turbo himself and stand any problem which occurs hence it being mapped as well by them...so any issues..if any will be sorted...so i do think ll should be ok but things do happen

i would of thought 420/430 in a 6 would make a very quick road car!
