Had another project car with me for a couple of days, customer wanted a door strip repainting where some one had opened something on to it and the wheels given a spruce up from kerbing marks from past owner then a bit of paint correction as the scratches in it were quite deep

first issues off to be fixed

once back it was time to start

scratches round door handles

once washed it was inside and time for the dent man to sort out a few dings

then it was time to clay and make a propper start

lots of scratches before

after the cut

refine

corner of bumper

was time to put some swissvax shield on

outside to rinse down

water beading

back inside to finish off first job was the grilles

wheels and tyres

exhausts 50-50

all plastics sorted

plastic wheel caps painted satin black

and out in the sun

great work as alway's! How hard is it to clay? My girl friend's got a dark blue e46 and the paint's shocking! All ready use srp and meg's wax twice but can still see the mark's under it when looking close up! Cheers

Hi gooner claying is easy best thing to do is flatten a piece of clay to a couple of inch square use plenty of clay lube/detailer spray work in about 12" square use forward and back strokes then change to horizontal with medium pressure you should hear the clay go from a dragging sound to a gliding smooth sound and feel, wipe panel check clay fold in on itself start next panel.
If you drop clay at any point throw away new piece of clay as you could scratch the panel, once clayed you will need to polish by hand or machine then wax after for protection hope this helps
