I think I have clutch issues.... Help

Just bought myself an evo 8 MR340. Lovely car but clutch stinks when there's even a tiny bit of stress. A 3 point turn stinks and it's a real struggle. Also changing gears can be emotional at speed. There's a judder as you change also. Not a mechanical person. Was told there's an organic clutch which was fitted 20000 miles ago.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated

Clutch should be fine at that mileage. But if its been abused, launched, etc then it easily gets destroyed. Get it to a mechanic to get it checked.

Thanks. Taking it to either a dealer or extreme. Will see in morning. It seems like it needs changing but not convinced

Do you know which clutch you have? I had an exedy organic in mine and it was exactly like this. Is it quite "grabby"? Is it very keen to bite making it hard to pull away gently or ride the clutch? If it is an exedy I was told (from someone I trust who deals with these cars a lot, not the clowns who fitted it) that that's just how that clutch is. Not all organics are like that though. If the clutch isn't slipping then it could just be the nature of it rather than it being on the way out.

I have been informed it's a 'competition clutch' so will be on the brutal side.
Been advised there's nothing wrong with it but I'm looking for something much more user friendly!
The car is mint and other than the clutch it's completely standard.
Any advice on what clutch to buy would, again, be really appreciated

The Helix organic is supposed to be good, drives like normal, however I replaced mine with an ACT organic and it also drove like normal and no stinking car every time I reverse parked! The Helix seems to be the one most recommended, though, I only went with the ACT as my car was scre**d at the time and it was the only thing available next day.

just fitted a helix to my mak
also got one fitted to the cupra diesel after remap
both work fine and bite point is a standard car
it is a little sharper than standard but took a couple of minutes to get use to
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Nothing wrong with exedy twin plates as that all i use in my evo as have had AP Helix and Ralliart and they dont take the abuse. Anyway Exedy make the clutches for ralliart and AP. 20k on a clutch is a alot of miles and i am sure its been launched and drove hard before. i can get you exedy clutches cheaper than anyone else if you want one i will give you the guys details who sells them and he sells helix AP also.
