Hi all thought I'd introduce myself name is mike and looking on getting an evo thought I'd come on here ready and wanting advice. Looking at evo 5-6 you thoughts would be appreciated

Welcome, personally you could not want a nicer, better evo than an E5/6 as i have both lol. They can be bought at the right money. Just check it over well before you buy one and make sure you look the rear arches, rear bumper panel and wheel arches for rust and make sure does need any bushes. Stay away from very very high mileage evo's. Evo's are usually bullet proof when well serviced with E5-9.

Thanks for all the comments look forward to goin meets and meeting people. I do love the look of the 5-6's. Just trying to get the right one how are the engines in them as I have bought a house and do t want loads of problems. I'm happy with the servicing every few thousand miles but am considering few engine tweeks

I do like the 5 and 6's but keep reading newer model you get better engine it is

Newer engine is normally more reliable because its done less miles and less abuse. Just like any other car ...

Much more detail on any mods already done to the car is needed

E5 on are reliable. Lightly modded you will have no probs generally as long as the car is maintained properly

Well still no luck so far but have set my eyes ona 6 now so guess I'll see where that will take me
