Load a rubbish they need to sort their lives out. This is decided by a bunch of ministers that commute via an electric car to London each day and don't ever use country roads. If they cut speed limits just because a small minority of people can't judge road conditions they will create more problems. An already stretched police service who will be the ones that have to enforce this will spend a load more of their time issuing tickets to people on rural roads and not pulling over the numptues that think it's ok to do 50 down a residential road

Got to be kidding. It's only 5 minutes since they changed all the national speed limits to 50 zones!

Most people already think the NSL is 40 already. More specifically they actually think 40 is a global limit to drive at as they can't be bothered learning the Highway Code...they drive at 40s through miles of country road then carry on at 40 through 30mph villages.

Of the accidents caused on rural roads, I wonder how many were the result of frustrated drivers being held up by some 40mph muppet that no-one seems to want to overtake. Country roads are the only fun left in this country :(
