Have wanted an evo since I can remember, and in september I managed to find one, sat on the drive for 2months until I was able to insure it on my 21st birthday :)

Since ive had it its had a full service including new mintexting discs and pads all round, oil and fuel filter change and new spark plugs and everything checked over.

Other mods Ive added:
Forge blow off valve
3 Defi style gauges
Forge heat shield
Ralliart matts
Walbro fuel pump (to be fitted monday)
Boost solenoid & remap
Mushroom air filter

Its now running 340bhp @ 1.4bar , but should see some more power when the new fuel pump is is and boost is upped some more

have a lot more plans when i can spare some coin!

Heres some pics of the evo and some of my old motors

When I first got it home:

After a clean up

Turbo civic d16z running 278bhp

Glanza V running 292bhp on a tdo4 tubro

Imoprt civic type R

Dc5 teg type R

106gti

106 xsi running a gti lump

106 gti a few days before I purchased

And then 2 days after i got it home (17 year old death trap car)

Wasnt going to bother signing up to any evo forums, but i liked the way this forum is laid out, its like they were a couple of years ago till they all changed to the new hideous lay out. And you also dont get charged to view threads etc.

Hi and welcome, nice 8. Some nice motors there :) Love the DC5s. Still not got round to getting one yet! Just can't justify paying the price when I can get a nice evo for the saame money. Will get one one day though :)

literally every page I go on there always seems to be a southwest member posting its great haha!! We will have to get a meet organised if there isnt already :)?

And I know what you mean mg7sr. I done a straight swap for the import ep3 for my dc5, picked up the ep3 cheap too so made quite a bit of dollar on it, but after owning one id say it was definatley worth it ,handle very well and go well enough, but nothing on the evo!

They're everywhere! lol :)

Would need an exhaust and filter on it. That's when it makes you want to floor them even more. Not many white ep3s about. They only did them for a year

welcome, and that's pretty cool having an evo 8 at 21. I remember when I was about 21 and I had an FQ300. It was only a couple of years old, so with insurance and finance I never had any money to put petrol in it!
