Lol yh they everywhere, I done a 450 mile round trip last month and saw 1 Evo and loads and loads of ubarus, I kinda like havin a rarer car though I would have to sell up and get something else if I started seeing them all over the place. Can't escape them lol! Yeah I'm the same to be honest! There's only one other DC2 in Swansea (that iv ever seen) civics are parked on every corner lol got a guy from france after my Car so with a bit of luck now I can start hunting for an evo.

Aside of the usual oil cap check, panel check and stuff is there anything common or big I should look out for on an evo which on other cars I wouldn't have to worry about?

What model Evo you looking to buy? Ayc is a killer when buyin an Evo as if it's broke and needs replacing its expensive apart from that it's a car and just look out for all the usuals, underseal is a big one imo if the cars been in the uk for a while and no underseal there will prob be rust

Was looking at an evo 4 mainly because I'll only have about 4k budget, And here comes my first newbie question- AYC? Thanks for that I didn't think about the underseal, if it's a bit rusted would you say to leave it there or is not so bad to clean up obviously if it's hanging underneath I'd walk away

If a car is a little scabby underneath, can be rubbed down and undersealed. Shouldn't be too much of a problem.

You should be able to get a 5 for your budget. Evos amongst others have taken quite a knock in price recently. Insurance is one of the reasons fr this.

If you go for a 4, try and get one with a later engine as some 4s suffered crank walk!
