Hand Brake

Just came back with the e4 from mot which it passed Just had one advisory about parking brake has just passed efficiency. Question is how do I go about adjusting this, if it can be adjusted that is?

Good question..... Surely it would be controlled via cable and adjuster I imagine would be in handbrake surround

Its got internal drum hanbrake so if you take the rear wheels off there will be a grommet in the drum, take out the grommet, shine a torch in the hole and turn the disc until you see the adjuster. Adjust the shoes out until the disc wont turn and then back it off a bit until the disc turns.

There is also a cable adjuster on the handbrake lever, from memory you have to remove the surround to get to it.

remove centre console and there's an adjuster on the bottom of the handbrake lever to tighten the cable

Better to do as rob said and re adjust the shoes
