hey up all im looking in to getting a tracker ive been looking on the net , and im wondering that do they bring the insurance down that much ??

They don't bring down the insurance enough to cover the cost so in that aspect the cost is not warranted, however for piece of mind.......

The Cobra on the X's are good, however if you are going to retrofit I would look at something like RAC Trackstar.

There was another one (can't remember the name),cost effective. Approx. £150. Basically the tracker takes a sim card and can be topped up like a pay & go. You call the number and it sends you a text message with location

Tracker is a good reputable company that has been around for a long time, cant go wrong with them.

I said RAC Trackstar as I used to work for Trafficmaster who provides that service and I know they are good to.

defo not quartix. Was a known brand. Will ask my mate what it was called.
Good price at 225. My mate used to supply and fit cobra trackers for 450 a couple of years qgo. Not sure on current price

it cost more to get the tracker and what ever it cost for the year and all i saved was £60 so its not worth it and if someone wants your car then they will get it and you wont see it again tracker or not

Depends who you are insured with. I took out a policy a couple of years back for my impreza. I originally said it didnt have a tracker but i was checking through everything and found it did have one. I thought great i will get insurance cheaper if i tell them. I called and let them know and they said thats fine that will be an extra £80 per year wtf

Yes mate thats what i was hoping for :sad: i argued and asked how this was possible and they said thats just what it is, after that i told them ok it doesnt have one, i think they please themselves what they charge.

It's a joke. Insurance has doubled this year!! It might come down next year. They supposed to be finishing the commission system for injury claims (claims companies have been giving referral fees for every claim they get)

pay a few hundred quid getting the tracker and £60 off your insurance thats just wrong.i thought it would be a saving of 300ish but dam i was wrong and im with paceward
