Was a weekend on the car... Finished off with carbon wrapping the bonnet, really didn't know what it was going to be like until we got stuck in.. Hours later, many cups of tea and aching from being sat at stupid angles from pulling the wrap and getting the air out it was finished..

The result:

Cheers mate.. Very pleased with how it turned out, although need to clean it up on the inside of the bonnet. As for doing the job I got good quality wrap and it took hours to do, getting the bubbles and creases out while keeping it straight and not over pulling it...heat helped alot, sunk well into the lines of the bonnet, and was able to get to sit nicely. Time and patients are key.

Did it inside off the car which helped could get around it easy that way.. Plus it being so light (fibreglass) meant it was easy pick up and hold while heating the wrap around.

Wouldn't fancy doing it again anytime soon... Two of us did it and spent a hole afternoon on it. But you have to try it and saved a fortune doing it ourselves.

Cheers Stuart. I bought 3d effect bubble free wrap off eBay has small channels in the underside to help squeeze out bubbles.. Was £33 for 2m x 1.5m delivered to my door which wasnt bad did shop around mind. Have to say its top stuff, thicker and reacted to heat better than the cheap stuff.

I did use a small amount of soapy water, purely so it don't stick too quickly but has to be minimal..worked the wrap in sections, pealing off and applying.

I want to do the roof as well?.cant see it being too easy but well worth it, far cheaper than paying for it to be done and satisfying when it's finished :)

Can see it being a real nightmare..will have see about it, got a good quote from a place to wrap the roof so in two minds..can see the bumper being difficult due to all the curves in it, got a good finish though.

Not asked if they would as was only after prices for getting the bonnet and roof done.. I will go with them leaving the gutter rail in place, but I will ask..How much did the clips set you back? They are a pain to remove and if I look to do it myself no doubt will break a few..

Did you go back and get it? Lol..or not notice till after?
