ive done alot more than that on my twin plate exedy but when i launched it the other day, either i let it slip to much while the car started to move or its close to the end of its live so good job im dot doing pod :):)

have you not got the HD twin plate so your clutch wpuld be up to more launches ???

and on my twin plate its on/off like a switch so theyre not meant to be slipped or the life reduces drastically

No wonder its close to the end of its life LOL :awesome:

OMG you dont read do you !!!
a standard clutch can last a few launches , it would be the transmission I would be worried about, a clutch is going to cost less than a new diff

Er you need to read lol ! I quoted your quote to Stevey b's quote of and I quote : even new on a 2k clutch 10 launches would be good going.

So i quoted your plus 1 on that, as saying depends what clutch you have :)

Yea a new diff does cost more, but mines had the all clear so I have no worries about it

If it breaks then I'll get another one, simples :)

who gave your diff the all clear...did they take it apart to check it ??

and as per my previous post the clutch doesnt take the brunt of the launch really ...it takes some but most is on the transmission...or so ive been told by a VERY reputable tuner

EL said my diff is fine when he flushed all the fluids through it when I had all my suspension sorted and top mounts and rear hub and bearings sorted :)

He said there's no problems with it so that's good enough for me :)

Have you launched it before?

to be fair you dont have to launch a car to kill the diff, they can go at any time as one of my mates found out. its more likely the transfer that will shite it self :)

feeding the clutch in nice and smooth will take some of the shock out of whats being transfered from a flywheel thats spinning at 5000rpm :)
