why not try and get a part refund , the bumper is fixable , i purchased one from mlr it had a crack and scratches , the body man quoted me £200 to re do and its mint now , sanded .bogged and full re spray , looks the part on my 8 , got some pictures ov before and after i could email you

i contacted her through text as she would not answer the phone and she denies it all but i have the pics to prove it was cracked when she sent it and then i wrote to her on fb asking what her reply to it is and she deleted me straight away and now i have someone(her friend im guessing) giving me grief through private mail.

How bad is it?

If you getting it resprayed anyway a body shop will charge little extra repaira crack and the odd dink.

I know it doesnt help as its been mis-sold but you maybe able to negotiated the fix as part of the respray

Open up a complain on forum she sold it to your from, rogue traders, so it doesnt happen to others.

Doesnt sound like she is keen to help or acknowledge

Yes the car has had rear end crash mate .....so of course bumper was cracked :thinking:

Oh and if your getting threatening emails mike then id go to the old bill as theres no call for that AT ALL !

trading standards will not be keen on getting involved its a private sale .
They try to stay out of private deals as much as poss

Well that maybe the case a while back but they are now in conjunction with C.A.B. and are advising under the consumer direct so they will be able to advise Him of the best port of call

sorry, not been on here, been very bust with predeployment training to the sandy land they call afghan ha ha.
no update at all really, will be contacting small claims court this week, just wondering if it is really worth the hassel tho.
yes that is the exact pic she sent me geof but as i was planning on getting it sprayed the paint flake didnt bother me, all i was bothered about was to make sure no cracks etc.
she refused to email the pic and only sent as a text msg to mobile. in the pic geof put up, easy to see the crack on the left hand side off the bumper resess.
