Loving this noise....silly question maybe but any idea what hes got under the hood, e.g just an cone filter maybe? or is that a combanation of a re-circ D/V etc?... im not to sure but thats how i want mine sounding :) so a little help if poss pls peops.

Mine does that noise. Just aftermarket air filter will hear the chatter better

As geof said you will hear the whoosh noise better but mine has only just started chattering like that and all I did was tighten the spring in my dump valve so lower pressure where there isn't enough to open the piston it moves the air back out the filter past the tubby

Just fit a hks filter and that will do it :)

Just so happens I got one for sale too with the adaptor plate for say £70 :)

While we are on this subject,

Does taking the dumpvalve off and blocking the pipes do the car/turbo any harm?

Yes. It causes all the excess pressure to go out the only way it can which is past the tubby the wrong way, it will take a fair amount of time to do the harm but will cause it to bust. It can stall the turbo

Can of worms anyone? Lol.
Car, no. Turbo, in theory yes, but ive not really ever seen any proof. It does put more load on the turbo but so does running higher boost, that wouldnt stop most people turning the boost up though so why not remove the d/v? Plus it sounds awesome.

Oh yeah sounds awesome and I suppose on the plus side when it screws the tubby it's an excuse to buy a bigger one :)

Mine was from r spec there was a Allen key bolt in the end I tightened
