Youngy's Evo: Protection Detail

It's been a harsh winter and it's been 5 months since I did Youngy's evo, so we decided to give it a much needed spruce up. Thorough decontamination followed by werkstat and Finishkare protection.

On arrival

Someone decided his car would look better de-badged and stole them!

It was a harsh winter, but 5 months and the werkstat was still present, only slightly though. So the car was snowfoamed with VP PH neutral with added APC, then washed in the usual manner. Then it was De-tarred with AG Intensive Tar Remover and clayed with Autobrite's Fine Clay.

It was then re-washed and dried leaving the swirls clear to see. Will benefit massively from a machine spruce up.

The door jams were hand polished using Menzerna super finish and then the whole car was given a layer of Werkstat Acrylic prime, left for 20 mins, then buffed up. That was then followed by a layer of their Sealant Jett. Then followed by FK 1000p. Given a final wipe down with FK Polywipe and hey presto. Tyres, mudflaps and arches treated with AG Rubber care. 4 Hrs and job done

i only got home at 3 after watching a scoobie roll..... and i left yours at half 1 ish.

i got all the paints now to do the various little jobs so will update this soon.

Calipers only need a gentle rub then some vht clear laquer will make them good as new

i was gonna do that but there are stone chips on them too so i am just going to re-paint them. got other bits to do like the grills, wiper blade arms, wing mirrors, alloy refurb (maybe sprayed white)

Gate is still up Youngy! Looking good too, as if two skilled aircraft technicians had hung it!!
