Also membership money would help towards the initial outlay when it comes to organising events. Every show requires clubs to by tickets in advance and yes pay for them and months in advance if a good spot is required and guess what it's members don't want to hand over the cash or buy tickets till the last minute oh but they still want to be centre stage lol the funding for that has to come from somewhere. something this club struggles with and will continue to struggle with untill people dip in there pockets and that won't happen.

Take japfest for example. 15,000 people attended last year which makes it one of the biggest jap shows in Europe.
But I doubt we will be there as nobody want to be right down the bottom where we were last year so we need to buy early but money don't grow on trees so I doubt we will be going. Simple as

this club is free always has been so all of a sudden turning around and restricting access until membership is paid is both unreasonable and unfair, so we will have to continue in the evoowner way, over the road hads been running for many moons and as far as im aware always charged. i think we have a great group of members and some good organisers and yes its hard work gettin booked up in shows but all worth it in the end, we learnt the harder way last year and it seems some have stepped up this year myself included to make sure we get the better stand.

In fairness it's hard to keep everyone happy paying the 35 quid

It all depends what you want to get out of the club for some it will be worth it and others not

I know I wont be becoming a full member until I get myself back in a decent Evo trying to get some big power then it will be worth 35 quid for me to source parts easily

I'm not saying we should make this club pay to view. I'm just saying we don't have funding and so struggle when it comes to events.

For example I've just had Julie I think her name was from rallyday on the phone wanting to know if we will be back again this year. Um yea ok heres my bank details please feel free to take £300 from it for tickets so we get one if the best pitches even though I won't see the money back for until August. That's where your members ship money goes towards peeps

Guys I totally disagree I've been a full member for years and I think the membership fee is more than fair for what you get for your money. You get 4 magazines a year, discount with all traders to which just 1 service will get you your money back, discounted pace ward insurance on a massive scale (I saved £77 pounds this time),you get discounted sprint tickets and get to drive on some of the best circuts in the world, you also get a starter pack with a few goodies enclosed and finally you get access to the full site of Mlr.

Please let's not turn this thread into a slanging match towards the Mlr we are better than this guys.

It's the people that make the place IMO, everywhere you go your gonna have a few sour apples and a few goodens, be it on a forum, a place of work, even in a group of friends, difference of opinion is what makes us all different, ( or like me limited ucking edition ) if we all agreed on the same thing then it would be one hell of a boring world lol !! Im not a fan of the MLR for my own personal reasons, but having said that I have also met a few of them and the ones I met were some of the nicest people I've ever met.

As been said really they are a business and have some great oppotunities and products to suit most peoples needs, but i do believe that we shouldn't all slate them, it would be good to see 2 clubs get on and enjoy what we all share an interest In : The Evo's
