window tints?????

Its daft that its illegal to tint the front side windows,I had mine done,they let 40% light through n it made vertualy no diference at night but in suny weather it realy helped,i was told to take it off by vosa so I did much to my disgust,but there doesn't seem to be a law on sun glasses,they r prob darker than tints n completly cover ur eyes yet ur allowed to wear them while drivin,I even put it to the test once wen I was pulled over at night,I quickly put on sum shades,he did look at me funny n asked why I had em on,I just said cos of the bright lights coming towards me,he left it at that,I couldn't believe it,no tints allowed but wear ur glasses at night,the law is just an arse!

case for a good arguement there,im going to tint all my windows and when plod or vosa pull me ill say its sunglases for my car see what he has to say about that:arms:

well i have had mine done and to have your windows tinted all round they are not a mot failure for the fronts and the back you can have a dark as you like . but when the police are around the front windows must show more the 35% of light though the front. My mate has got his done all round using 65% on the back screen ans rear windows and 50% on the front which does nt sound very dark but just gives a nice finish instead of the back tint s and none on the front.
But how ever if the police do pull you over they will nick you hope this helps

I have a dark tint on my back windows,, looks spot on, The colour of mine is the one tint before the limo tint,

I have spoken to a friend around the corner from our place who does tinting.

He is a professional with many years of experience and he can do the car for you for £120.

If you tie it in with the Rolling Road meet that we are planning, it will end up being a good day out too in my opinion!!!

Its 75% light ur front windows have to let through,when I got done for mine he tested just the window n it only let 85% of light through as it was,a clear shatter proof film would prob take up the other 10%,its vosa uve gotta watch for cos their a right set of :whistling::whistling:

If you get pulled in Birmingham with tints on the front widows they just slash them there and then!!!

The usual suspects drive with the front windows down when they see the plods, even when it's pouring down with rain!!!

I see tints as a security plus sun aid plus good visual mod but each to their own I suppose. Haha,I wasn't callin u a boy racer,just meant in general,its wot was quoted in the paper the other week

theres a place called mint car enhancements no. 0115 9385280 just off junction 26 M1. (near ikea) they do top job, i get all my interiour sorted there. to tint the whole car is roughly £150 and when i had my last car done all 3 lads done it so i had it done while i waited. they also do carbon wrapping and interiour repairs.
the tint on the rear window will be distorted if you use the heated window in the 1st 2-3 week of having the tint fitted or if its just poor quality tint.
