which dump valve?

I have recently bought an evo 9 fq 320. At the moment it is totally stock and I want to change the dump valve. Can anyone help me out as i'm not sure which one to buy?

the hks ssq's are a nice lookin and soundin d/v

but try a recerc bov that way u keep your boost and u get the ttttsssssssssss

Hi and welcome to the Forum!!!

You are better off with an uprated recirculating dump valve. You will get more spool in the gear changes which means better performance guaranteed. You will not experience any problems.

If you go for an atmospheric then you will be going against the ECU map of your car which will require other tweaks to get it to run right.

are you wanting a noisy (vta) dump valve? if so there are several good ones out there.

I'm guessing as you have a ix that your standard recirc valve is the 'metal' type?

these are extremely good valves for upto approx 1.8bar of boost! (I wouldn't change that for any aftermarket valve unless your running silly boost)


as said, the car will run a lot better running a recirc valve over a vta.
