When Does Bhp Become Useless And Become Just A Figure?

Just want too know what your opinions are on this matter?

When does the bhp/Torque on a car become just a figure and not being used to what it is designed for/to do? Ie is 550bhp in a VI any better that 440bhp in a VI?

As already mentioned;

500bhp absolute max I would say if you want to use the car as a daily drive, beyond that it becomes an occasional car / track day car I would say. Lets be honest they not the best at just plodding around town, they need to be driven!

For a road car a properly sorted 400/400 Evo is more than sufficient but as with most things once you get use to the power you always want more!

I've had 400bhp and it was fun until u put It up against a tuned astra Vxr or corsa turbo then u notice that ur car is only just managing against standar ish road cars lol 500bhp is a big jump and very noticeable but 500 plus is guaranteed to put a smile on ur face and wipe smiles off other people's ;-)

400bhp Evo will annihalate any heavily tuned VXR and most supercars as well on the road, superbikes are all that have come close to mine, and a GTR that made me look like I had my handbrake on. 911 Turbo's etc don't seem to do so well
