What is a good price for this suspension setup?

Cusco zero 2r coilovers for evo 4-6 the rear top hats need to be replaced. The zero 2r are discontinued and cant be rebuilt anymore. They can be converted to zero 3 which are 24 way adjustable (dampening) instead of 5 way. For $1,100+ Usd which is pricey. I would love to buy a brand new setup of ohlins, cusco, etc but its hard to source these parts in the usa and my buddy is interested in selling his cusco zero 2r setup. So i was curious what you guys think they are worth. Personally i wouldnt want to get into them for more then $500 usd.

If any parts are rough then surely that is a sign that they have had a fair bit of use so if they cant be rebuilt I would forget them.
I would rather have a new set of cheaper HSD, D2, Meister R etc. rather than a dodgy set of used ones.
Are none of those avalible to you over there ?

I am thinking the same thing. An nope i have only heard of D2s before. Sourcing parts sucks here. Plus no one has these cars here so its hard to get feedback on what parts are recommended and what not.

I was going to say get some parts bought from over here and shipped across but I bet the exchange rate will make them very expensive.

There's a good following of the later cars over the pond but I assume a lot of those parts won't be available for 5/6's?

What about importing from Australia or Japan for parts?

Australia is a better bet than Europe I think.

You could try traders over here to see if they could do you a bulk discount, then you could organise a group buy on a forum over there.
Then you could get them all shipped over together in a big box, it might cut costs by a fair bit.

I don't think the exchange rate would help, any discount would probably get swallowed up into that :disgusted:
