ps there are no shims that go in the lifters or under the springs as the evo head uses hydraulic lifters, unless you've replaced with solid lifters

Hope you get it sorted

There is shims to go the under valve springs, even stock heads have them!
These are required to achieve correct spring seat pressure.
Many aftermarket springs (Cheap ones) need shims.

Ahahaha

As And days. Fitting shims on hydraulic lifters would be pointless as they would just compress to accommodate the shim.
Your better of fitting solid lifters and using shims to gap. Or better still fitting custom rockers to allow higher lift cams....

Small ends.......... Ok
I'm surprised they know what a bottom end knock is, they had my car a month and gave it back to me none the wiser. Hope it gets sorted mate, this soon after a build it should only be the inconvenience for you as they should be covering any damage tbh so
