Yeah as the title says, watch out when buying 2nd hand parts.....I recently bought a couple of items off members on here as and I quote "PERFECT" working order only to find they wernt! Not going to mention any name like, just warning people to check the item themselves and not to rely on the sellers word! :arms:

did they sort the problem for you? if not say! your not a grass,it wont put them away for life.your just airing your problem then others can stay clear of them! only way to get results really.
just say how you feel,no ones a grass for that... ;)

a grass in my eyes is someone saying something to get them selfs out of trouble.. i.e to the police... ;)

Right.....well yeah the coilovers were sold as fully working order, they guy dropped them off when i was on a break at work so was in a rush ( foolishly just put them in my boot and went back to work) anyway one of the top mounts has got more play in it than toys 'r' ****in us! Contacted him and he said he drove from preston and they were fine :( that was a cash sale so cant do **** all.....the other was an evo8 mr turbo, again and i quote " NO PLAY AT ALL" and you guessed it ****in toys 'r' us! Ha ha...... you could push the turbine to one side and when you turned it it stiffened up like it was catching?? So i sent it to my uncle who works at a turbo reconditioning place and his boss recomended putting a new bearing kit in it and balancing, not to mention the very small hairline crack in the 10.5 hotside the whole reason i bought the turbo, but the boss did say its that small it wont effect it, anyway got back to the seller and he and he said no its fine theres nothing wrong with it..... my uncle got back to me and said he will do it out of work hours and i can buy the bearing kit at cost, so i kindly asked him if he wanted to go halfs on it (which was £50 each) and i havnt heard from him since!.....And to top it all off i bought cams from america and they got stuck in customs and wanted another £32 for "import dutys" or somthing like that :( .....anyone got a rope ha ha just kidding ;)

Not a good start that you have had there, i sell second hand parts and its a flaming nightmare to be honest. particularly turbos, i have sold turbos that i have been out and test drove, they have boosted perfectly, no smoke and as such have been advertised as so. sometimes when people inspect second hand turbos though, particularly specialists, they identify things inside the turbo that your average person wouldn't see, this is when it becomes tricky as the seller says it was working perfect (and why shouldn't they) but the buyer said, well my tuner said it was pants (and why shouldnt they). the difference with buying from somebody you can trust thought is that they will work with you and not have your pants down.

Thats unlucky mate, how people can have the nerve to rip folk off i'll never know.

I'll only buy 2nd hand parts if its from someone I know and trust.
