uprated radiator

just wondering what is advantage of an upgraded rad to a standard one

my 5 is not heavily modded but somebody has a nice alloy rad just wondering why?

Usually they are thicker core which means more airflow which means more cooling properties which makes it run slightly cooler plus they look nice:angel:

unless your really highliy tuned then theyre just for looks imo, standard rad does a excellent job.

thats why i was wondering why somebody bothered upgrading it??

probably the original broke and replaced with aftermarket as oem are bloody expensive mate,does look shiny tho i agree

And not nesserseraly alloy been fitted to replace a failed standard one, could be fitted for any number of reasons ie cos they look good
