also, on the greddy timer, does anyone know what the a-h or a-l does?
thanks

A good setting is the auto. Pre set the timer to 15 seconds and it will add increments itself every time you boost the car. It will time down from 15 seconds on a very small trip up to 11 minutes depending on how long the journey was.

That is what my Starbo unit does anyway but they will all be more or less the same I think.

If I am wrong then I am sure some one will be along soon.

I'm not a fan of turbo timers, the best way to cool your engine/turbo is to drive the last couple of miles off boost and let the windflow through the engine bay cool it down.

soon as I pull into my garage I turn the key off straight away.

Some times you just want to drive it like it's stolen all the way home:D

I am not too sure about the other turbo timers on the market as I started off back in the days when the Evo I started to come on the scene with a Starbo. It utilises the radiator fan too when it begins timing down. Since then I have made sure I have always had a Starbo rigged up.

Sponners input is valid and if you are a patient person then that is the best option for you. I just prefer to have the unit do the work as it is a make sure it was done device that gives me a little time to do other things when I am running late.

Another feature that the Starbo unit has is a time up with increments of 15 second intervals that you can set for cold starts where you start the car and immediately lock it, leaving you to have a cuppa when your runinng late whilst the car warms up. I am quite sure thaqt most turbo timers do this too.

Very handy indeed!!!
