transmission noise

I've had my evo v for a couple of weeks now and I noticed that when driving I can hear the transmission, it doesn't sound that bad just makes a noise. The exhaust sound muffles it mostly. I was just wondering if it is normal to be able to hear the transmission, the sound is coming from the middle to the rear. I have an rs diff that has been fitted fairly recently so I don't think that is causing the sound. I mean it is only a faint noise.

Have you checked the fluid in the diff

I think in any 4wd performance car you will get transmission noise...
God in my car I hear absolutely hear everything

I haven't checked the fluid in the diff, I only really hear the noise at 30mph, I will check it just in case.

Yeah they are quite noisy.

But what kind of noise are you hearing?

It's not a grinding or scraping. Just a general mechanical turning sound if you know what I mean.

Gentle clunks etc I guess?

Will be fine. Just have a look under it and check bushes just Incase anything looks worn. Mines a little clunky but nothing like my old scoob!
