Hi all,

Would an timing kit from evo 8/9 fit my evo5?

Including:
- Idler Pulley
- Tensioner Pulley
- Balancer Pulley
- Tensioner
- Balance Belt
- Timing Belt
- Water Pump, Gasket & O-Ring

Only reason am asking is due to my location the 8/9 kit would be easier/cheaper to get.

Thanks!

Yes. Same kit. But you won't need the tensioner unless it looks shagged same as the pulleys too

Why not just buy the proper one for your car?

Ross sport sells them at a mega price :)

True, but if they are available, they should be changed, regardless of condition, otherwise it's time / money / hassle if required later on down the line.....

He's probably found it on the cheap.

As stated due to my location, google Aruba then you'll get
why

If it's the same kit I would save allot on shipping being as in the states I get free shipping compared to ordering from the UK.

Thanks, this was the answer I was looking for. Even though tensioner is slightly different as stated it will fit right?

Thanks in advance!

To me they look the same. The Lilly on the tensioner gets replaced not the arm it's self, from memory they are nearly 200 quid. I done my belts and just done the belts, all other parts were more than serviceable
