thermostat housing

Hey people ive just put an 8 engine in my 4 ive used the 4 stat housing and rear water pipe as the 8 engine didn cone with these ....... only to find that the 8 water oulet on the back of the head are different between the two meaning that one of the matrix pioed has no where to go ??? Are the stat housings different on the 8 to the 4????

Yes they are different! I found this out doing the same to my V!
U need to use an 8 back water pipe and stat housing to be able to plumb in heater pipe!
Don't try and change the outlet from the head as is bonded in!!
Also 8 water pump vains are opposite direction so water flows in different direction so need the stat housing for this too!

ok cool well not cool as i was planning on getting it finished this weekend do ya have any pics of your stat housing and pipe set up ??
