Strange power lost?..

Hi everyone,

Just had my 6 about 2 weeks.... Got a slight issue.. For eg. If I floor it in one gear and then change to next and apply full throttle, it doesn't instantly give me power... It feels like something is by passing the air going into the engine... Almost like the boost is its bled away into atmosphere! i checked for boost leak but nothing, plus if i dont do quick gear change and throttle then its fine?!?!? It is so odd I can't explain. If I come off the throttle and then back on then the boost is there.... I have a jap spec exhaust which quiet enough for Japan regulations etc... Is it restricting a lot of power??? Could that be the cause?

Any help would be much appreciated.

You have a boost leak or dump valve is leaking

Road speed?
Rpm?
Type of dv?
Exhaust would restrict all the time if it was that!! Not just in situation you describe

Thanks guys, I have a feeling it could be the dump valve as it holds boost thru the rev range, only loose power when the throttle shuts and re opens quickly...
I have a greedy dump valve all I know it's adjustable from soft to hard...
Exhaust whilst I have a look earlier... No stamps on it.. But I think it may just be a back box... Any of you guys have a pic of the factory center section? So mid just after cat.

Is there any way of freeing off? Brake cleaner? Soak in wd40?

Take it off, take it apart see if it has any grit stuck

cheers for the advice.mtook it apart today and the diaphragm is split...
