some advice (geek mappers maybe??)

hey guys, ive got the opertunity to buy a evo 6 ecu from over in ireland from a member of another evo forum.

i havnt paid this yet but i do intend to eventually.

however

whilst chatting to the guy about the ecu he has offered me a "ralli art" map on it for free!! ive told him that my cars got a few mods, air filter, turbo back egg sauce and de-cat, walbro fuel pump and ive got 560cc injectors to fit, he tells me a few things about the power but thats not interesting to me, i just want a nicley running engine maybe with abit more bhp then standard.

do i trust this "ralli art map" or not??? im unsure what to do.

if i dont go for that how much does a geek map cost im on a budget

any help appreciated

the ralliart map would be an improvement but you'd have to get the fuel/knock checked for piece of mind as the ralliart map can run very lean depending on the car setup.

best bet would be a full remap which you can get for about 200 quid, the geekmappers used to do it for free/donations but I think most of them do there mapping through business now so still looking at 200+quid.

Ive had to pass on the ecu i cant get payment to him, my banks not allowing it with the sort code i got provided even tho the sort code is correct.

for £200 you could add another £50-£100 and have it mapped at a trader.

Thats not to say a trader is better than a geekmapper ...I just like the piece of mind of using a trader.....some folks will say there is no piece of mind by using a trader ..but I suppose it depends on what trader you use :angel:

thanks buddy but got a 6 tme ecu now, just awaiting delivery.

i did try to pm you about the ecu but it didnt work for some reason.

im not looking as yet but can you pm a fdew details on how many pennies you charge for tweeking with the ecu for me!
