Single connector on the side of the gas tank - Evo V

I have a single connector on the side of the gas tank where the fill and return lines connect to the tank on my Evo V RS and I have no idea what it is for or where the two wires (one black and one white) are supposed to go. Anyone know or have this connector on there IV/V/VI?

Could be abs sensor? I know that the sensor on the rear hubs are black and white and goes under near side of the petrol tank.
