John @ FCM Bristol done a great job of fitting and setting it up(car runs sweet now)

Will be getting it mapped soon and will compare maps with my old one.

I never had mine mapped after fitting my AMS intake and boomba racing TB just had the fuelling checked, but since then I've had my Hydra standalone fitted

Thing was my old TB was leaking like crazy so they mapped the car safe until I got the new one fitted.

Seen one next door for for £220. I payed £166 posted brand new from 2fast2cool on ebay. I ordered on Sat by Tues was at my door

Some are seeing 12bhp more after a map tweak. Will let you know on Sat as I am taking it in for a map so will compare with my old map.

I fitted mine as the original one was the biggest restriction in the inlet system next to the turbo outlet. I'm hoping for some very good results once i go Autronics or Vipec

Go with the vipec mate, loads of features on mine including cold start, unlike alot of others

I'm still in 2 minds about it. Autronics is a far superior ECU but it depends on the mapper about the cold start.

I've been steered clear from Hydra by a handful of tuners now for my state of tune. Some even sell the bloody thing too! lol

I think i'm going to go Autronics

Yeh, I heard Ant favours it. Nick at NR Auto said he'd chose Vipec but it depends on a) budget and b) state of tune.

True Steve I'm clueless about them, when I asked Ant he and Rob said about it and it's got all the features and more on it. I think Richie Bulmer also prefers the hydra, tbh I prefer the cold start on my standard ecu though lol.

My cold start is just like a standard ecu !
I didn't even know aftermarket ecu's had hold start issues cos there is UC all wrong with mine
