Rust on rear arches!

Hi guys, does anybody have any advice on how to deal with the early signs of rust appearing on the rear arches of my evo 7? It looks as though the previous owner had them touched up with paint, however the paint has now flaked off! Its not a good look!! Any advice will be appreciated! Many Thanks

Clean inside the arches to get the Dirt and crap which sits on the lip and waxoyl

the only way to get rid of rust is to cut it out

if its just kinda surface need to rub it done and treat it proper.. just washing the dirt off and underseal is hiding the problem really..

Hi mate, I am looking to cut the rust out like you said, however I got a quote from mitsubishi and they only sell whole rear quarter panels which amounts to around £650! for both sides. Can you recommend any other suppliers? Cheers for your help mate!

That looks like it has come from the back which is very common:whistling:

You may find it is alot worse at the back:hm:
